Supervisor Training

$169

If you have more than one driver (or are supervising one driver you’ve hired) you are required to train your supervisor on reasonable suspicion of drug and alcohol use in the workplace.

If you have any questions about our processes, supervisor training, or DOT regulations, or if you’re merely ready to get compliant, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Our team is always ready to walk you through the compliance process.

What is Supervisor Training?

Under 49 CFR Part 382.603, trucking companies with two or more drivers are required to have a supervisor that has taken a course on recognizing indicators that create a reasonable suspicion that a driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. It should also outline the process on how to refer that employee for testing.

What Are the Supervisor Training Requirements?

The FMCSA requires that the training includes:
• 60 minutes of training on the symptoms of alcohol abuse
• 60 minutes of training on the symptoms of controlled substances use

How Do I Take the Supervisor Training Course?

The standard supervisor training course consists of watching two sixty minute videos on reasonable suspicion testing and then completing a quiz. Once you’ve passed you will receive your certification.
